Chargers RC conducts regular race meets for 1/10th electric offroad radio control cars on its purpose built track, which is of a clay and soil base.  Due to the tracks proximity to nearby homes and noise restraints, nitro car racing is not conducted by the club.

Classes raced include 2wd Buggy, 2wd Truck, 4wd Buggy and now Short Course.  Examples of these cars can be found on the Cars page.

Racing is broken up into different motor classes - 'Stock' (17.5 brushless or 27T brushed) and 'Modified'.  We also cater for beginners and newcomers.

The club is a member of ORRCA Queensland who are the governing body of 1/10th scale R/C racing in Queensland.  Chargers RC conducts racing under ORRCA Queensland rules, a copy of which can be found on their website.

  

A Little History…

Chargers RC was born from the merger of the Jimboomba Chargers Offroad club and the South Brisbane Onroad club, both of which had connections with the Lota offroad club which gives this club roots going back 20 odd years.

It was felt that a sharing of resources would benefit both groups.   In the last few years the club operated both an onroad and an offroad track,  however currently only the offroad track is operating. 

The offroad track relocated from Ipswich in early 2008 to its new home at Redbank Plains.  Racing recently kicked off for 2011 with our first club meet on Saturday 5th February.
